Our company is responsible for protecting you every time you use www.anastopoulosestate.com either as a simple user, as a consumer-buyer or as a Member and to inform you of all the data you need, in accordance with Articles 12, 13 and 14 of the new GDPR applicable from 25 May 2018 at European level.

What personal data does Anastopoulos Estate collect and what are the purposes of their processing?

Personal Data is any information that relates to you, or can be attributed to you. Our company may collect simple personal data, such as name, surname, postal code, city, country, telephone, mobile phone, as well as data of a technical nature, such as email, IP, username, password to our e-shop, etc., which we process according to what we explain below. In case we receive your personal data belonging to a special category (e.g. data related to your health condition), we commit to process them with even more care and only with your explicit consent, or in a manner permitted by the relevant legislation.

We may collect your data either by telephone (e.g. telephone order), online (e.g. registering as a member, placing an online order), or physically (e.g. if you visit our store) in accordance with the following:<?p>

In case you call us and solely for the purpose of proving your telephone communications and/or orders, the telephone calls received and made by our call centre are recorded, which is legally notified to you as soon as you call us and before you give us any of your personal information.

1.1 Browsing the Website – Cookies

Like most websites, by browsing www.anastopoulosestate.com, registering as a Member in our Online Store, subscribing to our Newsletter Service, submitting a purchase order in our Online Store, we collect and process personal data and information about you, either through cookies or directly from you who provide them to us.

Google Analytics: we also use Google Analytics (GA) to track user activity. We use this data to determine the number of people who use our website, to better understand how they find and use our website, and to see their journey through the site.

Although GA records data such as your geographic location, your device, your internet browser and your operating system, none of this information makes you personally known to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address, which could be used to identify you, but Google does not provide us with access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor, as we mention below.

Also, with your explicit consent, we may analyse your usage behaviour on our website to provide you with personalised information. The evaluation of your usage behaviour includes in particular the areas of the website that you stayed on and the links you activated (e.g. shopping cart). We use this information to create usage profiles that are sorted by person and/or email address in order to better tailor the promotional offer, in particular in the form of a newsletter, website promotional messages and print advertising, to your personal interests and to improve our online offers.

Cookies: for your navigation on the Website / Online Shop, your registration is not required, so your direct provision to us of your personal data or other information concerning you. 

In addition, they are used by us to connect you to your Account, to remember the products stored in your shopping cart, to connect you to your Account without requiring you to open a new account every time you want to make a purchase in our store, to verify problems on our server, etc.

Cookies are small text files that are temporarily installed on your computer or electronic device and transmitted to our server when you visit Anastopoulos Estate, through your browser. No Cookie file used on the Website collects information and does not take note of any document or file from your computer.

1.2. Member Registration – Account Opening

During the Membership registration process, Anastopoulos Estate collects the personal data that Users voluntarily provide when registering as Members of our Online Store, in order to open an Account. In particular, in this case we collect the email and password, name, surname, address, postal code, city, which are encrypted, as we explain below. The above personal data is used by our Company in order to open an Account for you through which you can view your transaction history, while you give your consent by providing this information to the Company to keep your password in order to allow access to your Account each time you log in with your password.

If you are under 16 years of age, you MUST have parental consent before registering on www.anastopoulosestate.com.

1.3. Subscription to the Newsletter service

We will not send you any Newsletter, for any purpose of advertising or promoting our products, unless you choose to subscribe to our Newsletter service. If you subscribe, Anastopoulos Estate will collect your e-mail address and send you informative material regarding our Anastopoulos Estate Online Store products, any product offers, gift vouchers and points, product advertisements, commercial partnerships, etc.

If you choose to participate in our email newsletter, the email address you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provides us with marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third party data processor, as we note below. The email address you submit will not be stored in the database within the site or on any of our computer systems.

Your email address will remain in the MailChimp database as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for our email marketing or until you explicitly request to be removed from the list.

In case you do not wish to receive the Anastopoulos Estate Newsletter and promotional material in general, you may at any time request to be removed from our mailing list, either according to the instructions provided in the Newsletter or by sending the request to [email protected] . From the emails sent to you by our Company as part of the Newsletters service, through cookies, the Company records the opening rates of messages you receive from us during the Newletters sending service and the number of clicks on specific links.

If you are under 16 years of age, you MUST have parental consent before you sign up for our email newsletter.

1.4. Product Receipt Notification Service

In the event that during your browsing on our website you wish to purchase a product that is not yet available in our warehouse, but we expect to receive it within a short period of time, and only if you request it and give us your explicit consent, we will contact you when we receive this product. This contact will be made by email that you have provided to us and will be solely for your information. We declare that we will not use your email for any other purpose and will delete it from our records in any case after 3 months (even if we have not received the product).

1.5 Purchase of Products from the Anastopoulos Estate Online Shop

For the completion and execution of each online order, whether you choose to purchase as a simple visitor or as a Member of Anastopoulos Estate, it is necessary for you to provide us with your personal information, mainly regarding your payment preferences, your contact details and the place of delivery of your products. Our Company uses this data for the execution of the contract between us, i.e. for the execution of your order with the sale of the products and their delivery to the address you provide us, as well as for the realization of the payment on your behalf. By providing your personal data at the stage of ordering and for the execution of the contract between us, we will send to the e-mail you have provided us the notification of receipt and execution of the order by the transport company with which we cooperate. We may also use both your e-mail and your telephone number to send you a message in case we encounter a problem in the execution of your order or to contact the employee of the transport company that will deliver the products to you in case of a problem or for any other communication with you or notification.

1.6. Payment by credit card

If you choose to pay for the product(s) you purchase from Anastopoulos Estate by credit card, you must provide us for the purpose of payment the type and number of the card, its expiry date, CCV, by filling in all the necessary fields in the (secure) order form. We accept credit cards. Transactions in our Online Shop by card are protected by the highest online security systems and in particular transactions are completed through the CardLink interbank system, ensuring a secure transaction environment. Anastopoulos Estate processes your card details exclusively for the completion of the transaction, i.e. for the payment for the purchase of products from our online store. We do not store the card number, so for each purchase in our online store that you wish to pay by credit card, you will have to re-enter your card details. In this case, you will be redirected to the website of the payment service provider. Your credit card details are managed securely and at your own risk by the payment service provider, in accordance with the information provided below.

If you choose to complete a transaction through Paypal, you will automatically be transferred to the Paypal interface, which will manage your payment. We are not aware of, nor do we keep your account details or your passwords.

1.7. Employee data – Curriculum Vitae

Our company collects, maintains and processes personal data of its employees, such as name, full name, address, date of birth, ID number, VAT number, social security number (AMKA), etc., for the purpose of executing the employment contract, the execution of the payroll and in accordance with the requirements of the relevant labour and tax legislation.

Also, our company may occasionally receive resumes of our candidates, where they disclose personal information about them, professional qualifications, work experience, etc. We collect this data, updating it whenever necessary, always respecting the appropriate organizational and technical security measures and for as long as necessary for the performance of the contract between us or if justified in view of a possible future collaboration.

For security reasons, in public areas or in our company’s storage and working areas, there is a system of security and/or monitoring of these areas, through the use of external security systems (e.g. cameras/CCTV). We always ensure that this processing is necessary for security reasons, the recording is not targeted at the workplace (office) of a specific employee, and the fact of the existence of these systems has been legally communicated to the employees.

1.8. Connection via Facebook, Instagram account

You can register on the Website or place an order through your Facebook or Instagram account. In this case, Anastopoulos Estate will ask you to give your permission for us to have access to any information that you have declared to be public on Facebook or Instagram. By choosing to give this permission, you consent to Anastopoulos Estate’s access to your Facebook or Instagram account information that is public for the purpose of profiling you, for purposes of targeted profile-based advertising of its products, and for statistical purposes.

Lawful basis for processing your data

As can be seen from what we have already described, we never process your data without this processing being necessary and based on either 1) the performance of a sales contract between our company and you as a customer, or 2) our legitimate interests in maintaining our relationship with you as our customers, or 3) your prior consent to receive updates on our company’s activity and products.

More specifically, our Company will under no circumstances receive from you more personal data than necessary for each purpose for which it collects them, nor will it disclose your data to third parties, unless this is absolutely necessary for the performance by us of a service that you have requested and is related to the sales contract between us (e.g. delivery of a product) or the processing by a third party is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests (e.g. carrying out a credit check) or if you have given your consent to the processing by a third party.

Finally, our Company does not sell, lease or transfer your personal data to third parties, with the exception of the application of relevant legal dictates and to the competent authorities only, and does not collect and process personal data of minor children, unless it has the express consent of their parents.

Recipients of your data

Anastopoulos Estate may transfer the personal data it collects about you in accordance with the terms of this policy to third parties, but always under conditions that fully ensure that your personal data is not subject to any unlawful processing, i.e. other than the purpose of the transfer and always in accordance with the prior written agreement of Anastopoulos Estate with them. Always these entities are carefully selected by us and comply with the relevant legislation. In addition, your data may be transferred to countries within the European Economic Area, where all security requirements are met.   • To Google, as already mentioned above, in particular for the use of Google Analytics , & Google Adwords for the Goodle Display advertising network and the Google Search network
  • In Mailchimp, as already mentioned above, especially for the provision of Newsletter services.
  • To Paypal, to complete the payment of your orders, as described above.
  • On Facebook to display targeted ads if you are a user of the respective application and you accept the respective terms.

All of the above entities are based in the United States and comply with the intergovernmental agreement known as the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield.

  • To advertising agencies and advertising service providers in general: Anastopoulos Estate does not disclose personal data without the consent of the subjects. However, Anastopoulos Estate may share with third-party advertising service providers statistical information regarding the products purchased, demographic data, data regarding the technical characteristics of the mobile devices used to access our Online Store, etc., from which it is not possible to identify you.
  • To third parties that provide Anastopoulos Estate with services related to the operation of the Online Store, such as developers, data analysts, suppliers, data security and data subject information service providers, strictly for the purpose of processing their services to us.
  • To service providers for hosting our customers’ database, technical support and management.
  • Data security service providers.
  • To companies providing security and/or surveillance services, through the use of external security systems (e.g. cameras/CCTV).
  • To credit institutions, to access our platform and complete your order directly from these credit institutions, as we have already described.
  • To transport companies, for the delivery of your order
  • To special successors: In the event that Anastopoulos Estate undergoes a business change, such as a merger, joint venture, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or part of its assets, it may transfer all User information and data, including personal information, to the successor organization. If significant changes occur in Anastopoulos Estate’s privacy practices as a result of a business transition, Anastopoulos Estate will notify you prior to the transfer of your personal information.

Anastopoulos Estate informs you that the above categories of recipients of your personal data and information are processors on our behalf under the new Regulation and therefore as such they do not process your data beyond the above purposes of transfer and always act in accordance with our explicit instructions and instructions.

In any case, the employees of Anastopoulos Estate who have access to your personal data in accordance with the above, are specific and properly trained, while unauthorized access to your data is prohibited.

Retention period

Your data will be kept in our database only for as long as we have a contractual or legal right or it is necessary to keep it. As we cannot determine this in advance, the retention period may be different from User to User. If, for whatever reason, our contractual relationship is terminated, we may keep some of your data for as long as still required (e.g. if the product you have purchased is covered by a warranty) and in any case until the limitation period for any claims we may have in this regard has expired.

Of course, all the data we hold about you will be deleted if you choose to delete your Account from Anastopoulos Estate or if you ask us to do so, unless we are required to retain all or some of it for a longer period of time by law (e.g. in relation to tax documents of sales to you) or to safeguard your vital interest (e.g. for reasons relating to your health).

However, in case you simply request to unsubscribe from our newsletter, your data will be deleted directly by the respective email distributors (e.g. MailChimp). Also, when you visit our online store without registering as a member (guest visitor), some of your data (e.g. IP address) may be kept in our database for up to 6 months (e.g. for reasons related to any defect possibly detected in a product or any other problem that may arise with your transaction). Although we may keep your data for a certain period of time necessary for the operation of our company, we will never contact you without your express consent or unless it is absolutely necessary to fulfil an order or for confirmation.

As we describe below, fully respecting the specific characteristics of some of our products that you may purchase, access to your previous orders in our database is given only to those employees/partners necessary for the execution and completion of each order, while we encrypt the details of those customers who purchased online without being registered users, as described above.

Finally, by law, security camera logs are deleted from our systems every 15 days, unless a breach has been detected or unless otherwise required by law, in which case they may be retained for longer periods of time.

Your rights

We are committed to providing you with the opportunity to exercise all your rights under the GDPR, namely the rights to information, access to your data, rectification or erasure and restriction of processing.

Security of your data

Once Anastopoulos Estate receives your information, procedures and security measures are activated to prevent unauthorized access to it.

Save Files in Physical Format: Our company may keep records in physical, paper-based format, which contain your personal data (such as contracts, invoices, consent forms, etc.) We keep these records in locked, secure areas protected by locks and to which only those employees or associates have access that are needed for purposes described in their employment contract. Finally, for the destruction of physical records we use a document shredder to exclude the possibility of anyone gaining access to them without being authorised by us.

Electronic Storage: Some of your personal information will be stored in the database of websites we maintain. We have implemented classified access to files containing personal data on our network, which is protected by a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Under this classified access, special passwords are required and are provided only to those employees or associates who need to access these files. Our network is additionally protected by antivirus and firewall protection.

Encryption is essentially a way of encoding the information until it reaches the intended recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

Electronic communication: the data sent to us by email is protected by the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) protocol. Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) security protocol, which means that email content is encrypted using 256-bit SHA-2 encryption before being sent over the internet. Email content is decrypted by our local computers and devices. In addition, our email platform is hosted by Microsoft using Office 365, which is fully GDPR compliant.

Card Data: In addition, we do not store your card details that you use via the web. Your card details are not visible to Anastopoulos Estate because you are automatically transferred to a secure banking environment to complete your order.
